GUIDELINES

We are so proud of our community in Darlington and how helpful everyone has been in supporting the residents of our town.

Since its launch, the Facebook group Coronavirus Support for Vulnerable Darlington has grown substantially.

While members of the group have been kind and respectful of others, we advise all the users of our platform to be constantly vigilant and careful when dealing directly with anyone on Facebook or online.

As this is a public Facebook group, anyone can become a member as there is no vetting process to join the Facebook group.  Therefore, you must undertake your own vetting and checking process before sharing with strangers online your personal details and sensitive information.

By using our platform, you agree that we, any of our members, volunteers or agents, will not be liable for any potential losses that might arise as a result of your use of our platform, Facebook group or website.

  • Posts from people offering to volunteer or requesting help as these will be processed separately

SUSPENSION AND BANNING OF GROUP USERS

We do not wish to ban anyone from using the Facebook group. However, in the following two unlikely scenarios, we will be obliged to do so.
